#MyTravelokaEscapade : Chasing The Beauty of Korea

Goryeo! Goryeo aka Korea! South Korea is definitely my ultimate dream vacation among all the country that has been listed by Traveloka in the contest. I adore everything about Korea; the cultures, the language, foods etc and one of them is their spoon! Hah kenapa sudu? Sebab sudu mereka slim dan panjang tak macam sudu kita hihihi! And yes, I even learn Korean language because I think getting angry in Korean sounds really cool! Tapi sampai sekarang masih tak dapat tangkap apa yang mereka bebel walaupun berjuta kali dah tengok drama Korea. Don’t get me wrong, there are more exciting things about Korea that makes me fall head over heels with it! Plan nak explore Korea tahun ni tak kesampaian tapi nasib baik ada Traveloka!

Have you ever heard about Traveloka? It is one of the best website to book your flight ticket and accommodation at one time! Tak perlu nak bukak tab berasingan kalau nak tempah tiket dan hotel. Everything is easy peasy lemon squeezy with the help from Traveloka. Dahlah jimat masa, banyak diskaun pulak tu! Yeay!

When I read that Traveloka wants to know how I will spend my holiday at my favorite destination, I really want to tell them that I want to go on date with all my favorite Korean actors! :P But since I know Traveloka won’t approve my date with my fictional boyfriend, here goes another journey for my #MyTravelokaEscapade ! No worries, there are more things I want to do if I were given a chance to visit Korea!

Indulge In A Stunning Traditional Clothing

To be honest, this is the very first thing I want to do if I step my foot in Korea. The beauty of Korean traditional dress aka Hanbok is to die for! I lied if I said I never fantasising myself wearing one of that beautiful dress. Pakaian yang lain dari yang lain. Tak sama macam pakaian tradisi kita jadi kenalah cuba kan? Hanbok ni memang sangat cantik dan unik. Teringin nak cuba dan bergaya ala-ala puteri :P 100 tahun dulu orang Korea guna hanbok setiap hari. Tapi zaman sekarang hanbok hanya digunakan ketika ada majlis tertentu sahaja. Kalau Hanbok ni macam baju kurung mesti boleh pakai hari-hari kan? Barulah molek gitu :D

Go Crazy With Love Locks at Namsan Tower

I know this is a cliché! I am a hardcore fan of Korean dramas and I can say that most of the scenes in the films won’t leave Namsan Tower alone. Even the Mermaid from Legend of The Blue Sea needs to go there to meet her lover! And not to forget, the cutest alien on earth from My Love From Another Star did leave his love locks there! Single? No problem!

Enjoying Korean Cultures at Korean Folk Village

Visiting new places take tons of selfies with amazing background and leave with nothing but photos? That is so not cool, bro! I would prefer to spend my time experiencing Korean cultures through the cultural classes they offer in Korean Folk Village. And I think maybe it’s a perfect time to show my language skills to the locals; yeah, the typical “annyeonghaseyo”, “saranghaeyo”, “aigoo”, “yaaaa!”, “mianhaeyo”, “mworago” etc. It's worth watching Korean films sebab boleh belajar bahasa! Bukan setakat tengok kosong je tau. Fokus sambil belajar sikit-sikit. If we go to Korean Folk Village, we will be able to see the traditional cultures from the late Joseon era and experience everything through this trip! Dulu kalau belajar sejarah mesti kena baca buku teks je. Dah tu memang tertidur sebab tak best. Tapi ni tak. Kalau travel tempat baru, ia ibarat belajar sejarah sambil rasa suasana tu sendiri. Duhh asyik!

Explore Bukchon Hanok Village

It's one of my favourite Korean film! If I were to go here, I will cherish the moment walking on this street, get lost in the tiny streets atau tak pun berlari sana sini macam buat video klip. Bukan selalu kan!

Shopping in Myeong-Dong!

I'm not going to miss the chance to visit this famous shopping paradise! Even though I'm not a shopaholic, macam rugi kalau tak singgah! Gila. Macam mana nak shopping kalau tempat padat gila? Since I never experienced that, it's officially mandatory for me to be in this area! Other than grabbing some hauls, I'm sure it's also a great time to immerse myself more to Korean cultures; example like how the people do their work, how they communicate with each other and such stuff. Nak tengok macam mana mereka tawar menawar barang atau promote barang-barang mereka!

Pig Out on Halal Korean BBQ and Street Foods

There are lots of Korean foods I want to try! Gimbap, rice cake, bibimbap, kimchi, bulgogi, japchae and more! I know there are certain halal Korean food shops over there and wish I could really taste them! Korean BBQ and the street foods is a MUST try because, just like N Seoul Tower, Korean films won't leave them alone.

Date with Seoul's Night View!

Nothing amazes me more than seeing something breathtaking especially the night view! When I was making my Korea itinerary last time, I stumbled upon one website that shows a great place to catch a magnificent view of Seoul city during the night time. Saya memang suka tengok lampu pada waktu malam. And they said the light in Seoul city never dims! Everything is bright and fun!

Visit Fish Market

I know Jagalchi Market from one of Korean TV shows! It might be different over there! Curious to know how it feels like to be in another place!

Visit Ubiquitous T.um SK Telecom

I love technologies! T.um SK Telecom is all about future and advanced technology that we rarely see and will be use in our daily life. I really want to experience how it feels to have this future technologies! Korea antara salah satu negara maju when it comes to technology dan mesti seronok bila boleh tengok benda-benda canggih macam yang ada di T.um ni,

Grab Some Traditional Korean Handicrafts and Accessories!

I'm not really a big fans of handicraft but I do love them!! If I were given a chance, again, I will surely attend the workshop to make the handicraft accecories or dolls etc. Mesti menarik kalau dapat ber-DIY! Dan of course selain tu, saya nak tambah koleksi sudu korea!

---

These are some of the activities that I would do if I won my dream vacation! There are still lots of things that I want to discover actually but this is the ultimate list. I would say it's a mix of modern and traditional journey! I want to get lost in a busy city and escape in a peace of nature with a bit sense of Joseon era! It's a journey where I seek for fun and tranquillity at the same time. I am always curious about things and I will definitely take this chance to travel and learn about Korean cultures! Hopefully, Traveloka will send me to Korea and let me explore the country more so I can share with people about the fun activities and the knowledge and experiences I gain from my #MyTravelokaEscapade !
